Hi, we kindly ask to take note of the following information as our procedures and requirements are listed below to ensure the smooth running of our day.

List of Requirements for babies:

  • Parents are to provide a milk bottle with provided milk formula to be made fresh during the day.
  • Parents are to provide an empty bottle for Rooibos/boiled water.
  • A dummy with a dummy chain is required if applicable.
  • A small container for any cereal or porridge they may have.
    (Please note that any babies under the age/s of 6 months are required to have their own porridge brought with them.)

TIMES:

Full day:        07:00 am – 05:00 pm

Half day:        07:00 am – 12:30 pm

The school will be closed on:

  • Public Holidays
  • 3 – 4 weeks annual leave over the Christmas and New Year Holidays
    (Dependent on the calendar days)

ARRIVALS:

The school opens at 07:00 am. Please do not be later than 08:30 am as children miss the valuable information ring time and theme discussion starting at 08:30 am.

Breakfast is served between 08:00 am – 08:20 am.

COLLECTION TIME:

Half-day/s:
Children to be collected between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm.
(Cooked breakfast, morning snack and cooked lunch provided).

Full day: 
07:00 am – 05:00 pm  
(Cooked breakfast, morning snack and cooked lunch provided).
Parents are to provide a healthy, light afternoon snack.
* We kindly request you to try be on time or to notify us due to any delays. 

MANNERS

  • Please teach your child to greet their teachers as this instils good manners.
  • Please always say goodbye to your child and reassure him/her that you will be back to fetch him/her later.
    * If you appear tense or worried on leaving, your child will react accordingly.

HEALTH & HYGIENE PRACTICES

  • Before bringing your child to school, please check for signs of illness such as:
    – Any eye irritations and/or infections.
    – Runny nose and/or coughing.
    – Any open or exposed wounds, such as rashes.
    – Fevers.
    We are registered with the City Health Department and therefore must adhere to the rules.
    Vitamins and weekly hair-checks for lice are encouraged.
    Please remember a sick child belongs at home.
  • 4 to 6 years age groups have a hearing and eye test during the year, at minimal cost.


PERSONAL DETAILS & COLLECTIONS

  • Please provide correct and up to date personal-information, such as contact details and addresses, if any changes to them occur.
  • Under no circumstances will children be permitted to leave the premises of the school unless the parent, or guardian contacts (preferably a phone call with/or a WhatsApp message) the principal providing authorised confirmation.
  • When collecting your child early, please notify the Principal via a phone call with/or a WhatsApp message.
  • Please notify the Principal (via a phone call with/or a WhatsApp message) if your child is ill and unable to attend school OR if your child has been ill or upset during the previous night.

STATIONERY:
(Applicable to 3 – 6 years of age)

You will be required to purchase your child’s stationery for the year or a pro-rata portion there-of.
A full stationery list will be provided by the school.
